On Monday I was invited on behalf of Weleda, the world leading manufacturer of holistic natural cosmetics to attend the Northampton University Show at Graduate Fashion Week. Weleda’s iconic Skin Food is a cult favourite and considered a fashion week essential by professional make-up artists and supermodels such as Alexa Chung, Suki Waterhouse and Erin O’Connor. I will be doing a full post on their amazing array of products very soon-so keep an eye out.
The collection showcased a wide range of fashion garments, textile prints and footwear/accessories with students taking inspiration from a subjects from the clash of two different lifestyles to the plastic waste and the introduction of the plastic carrier bag charge. The designs themselves were incredible, I especially enjoyed how varied the show was design wise, with both women and menswear featured in the line-up. These designers are definitely ones to watch in the near future.
