Styling for Late Summer

When you are coming to the end of one of your favourite seasons- I’m talking about you Summer. Styling for the late summer months can be a little daunting, in regards to knowing what exactly to wear. But I think I have found my new favourite item to combat this. Which also works well as a layering piece.

The summer midi dress is the item in question, and one which is incredible versatile to wear. I am particular fond of those of the milk maid inspired styles. As there is nothing like styling said dress with a basket bag, strolling around your local haunts like you’re living your Parisian girl dreams. You can see why I’m infatuated by the humble ol’ basket bag, for that exact reason.

The one featured in today’s post is from New Look and has quickly become one of those pieces that is my new wardrobe favourite. From styling with my favourite cropped cord jacket to layering with an oversized cream knit. I can easily see this dress taking me into the autumn months with an oversized faux fur jacket in tow.
