Styling the Basket Bag

It comes as no surprise that the basket bag has got to be my all time favourite accessory. Inspired by the faux French icon that is Jane Birkin and her beloved basket bag. I am definitley not one to stop using it pass the summer months. Styling the basket bag for autumn/winter can be an adjustment. Once a piece that could be thrown together with a 70s inspired floral dress can now be adapted into styling with a teddy coat and check trousers. Or as I have today with a denim jacket and clueless ‘esque’ skirt.

This one which was kindly gifted to me by Shein and is what I like to call a versatile a/w update to my usual bucket style option. It’s slightly bigger in size meaning I can fit in more, and has the addition of a zip. Keeping everything inside secure and safe. Whilst on holiday last week in Devon, you could often see me styling it with my The North Face puffer jacket. Since the weather was definitely more on the autumn side. Needless to say the basket bag for me is the ultimate year round accessory.
