Lush Halloween and Christmas Event
*pr event
Last Friday evening I had the please of attending the Lush Halloween and Christmas Event at their Bournemouth store, with a bunch of other lovely bloggers. The event itself was about showcasing what Lush have to offer for the Halloween and Christmas period. There were also three different ‘areas’ to get involved with including, making your own face mask, having a pamper c/o Lush Spa and making your own glittery bubble bar.
We were also shown an array of Lush seasonal products that would make perfect gifts for Christmas. Including their very own gift boxes, that come in a variety of different price ranges, for those of use who know a Lush addict or two! I myself have received the Snow Fairy gift box one Christmas, and thoroughly enjoyed using it over the festive period.
The Lush Ethos
In addition, to having a browse round the products, the Lush Bournemouth staff were amazing at educating us about what Lush truly is about. I learnt that 100% of the profit from their “Charity Pot” moisturiser anonymously goes to a charity of their choice. They also spoke about how Lush donate the ‘left over’ products to local women’s shelters. This is to give them the confidence they need to feel like themselves again, and make positive changes in their lives. This aspect of the brand was never something I was aware of before. But with the beauty industry producing so much waste product. It’s amazing to hear that Lush are doing something to combat this in a positive way.
Mentionable Products
As a massive skincare fan and being someone who’s always on the lookout for ‘unique’ skincare products. I spent a lot of time browsing what Lush skincare has to offer. In addition to the classic creams, cleansers and toners, there were a couple of intriguing items that caught my eye. One being “Powdered Sunshine” which is a powder SPF 15 sunscreen. Made from sesame seed oil – which I was told is a natural SPF. This the perfect alternative for those looking for a non-creamy SPF. You could even use it as a face powder. Another being their face primers, which came in a solid bar form. On first glance I assumed these were soap. But I was clearly mistaken. This ‘naked bar’ helps prime your skin, pre makeup and keep it looking matte throughout the day. Very intrigued, indeed.
If you haven’t already, I would highly recommend popping to your local Lush store to see what exciting products they have for the Halloween and Christmas season.
