Working From Home 101
As a bit of a working from home ‘veteran’ – I don’t think I’ve ever had a *normal* office job since graduating I thought I’d share a few tips on how I stay motivated WFH, as I know this is now the norm for a lot of us in isolation.
Keep to a routine.
This is so IMPORTANT! I start my working day at 9am but I prefer to utilise that time before I start at 9am, by shooting content, replying to comments and emails or even planning my feed. Making use of those ‘pre-working’ hours is a good use of your time. Also avoiding working in your pyjamas and instead ‘getting ready’ for your day will put in you the right mindset.
Dedicate a space in your house/room to your ‘workspace’.
Having a “proper” workspace or at least somewhere you’ve dedicated to work is the best tip for keeping productive. The temptation to work from your bed or sofa is real and to be honest I am guilty of the latter. But once you’ve found your workspace, your productivity levels will start to improve!
Eliminate Distractions.
My job involves being on social media all day (everyday) so I normally try to set aside time when I will be on phone (working) and then working on my laptop. I appreciate I cannot choose to avoid social media whilst I work but setting aside time for during my working hours eliminates the temptation to ‘scroll’.

We’ve got our living room as our ‘desks’ on our dining room table, I try to ensure that I’m still getting up and ready for the day ahead and not lounging on my bed as I can’t be productive there! xx
