Lets’s chat self-care
Self-care has been one thing that I’ve been embracing in isolation. From taking my time to get ready in the mornings to getting dressed up on a Friday. Albeit with nowhere to go, but you know if it makes you feel better than go for it! So on the topic of self-care I thought I’d list a few things I’m doing more to help keep me sane during lockdown. Feel free to share your self-care tips below.
Upgrading my ‘bath game’
There is honestly nothing like a relaxing bath. But you can easily make it that touch more ‘exciting’ by adding your favourite bath bomb, or a touch of essential oils or even by burning your favourite scented candle. A sweet smelling scent is an instant mood boost!
Meditating
Not to sound too ‘out there’ but honestly meditation is something I’ve been really enjoying as of late. As someone who is constantly online and checking their phone with work, switching off can be hard. But by taking 5 minutes in the morning before I start my day to stop and be quiet. Is one thing I want to continue post-lockdown.
Journaling
On the subject of new routine additions, journalling has become one which I’ve also really taken to. Journalling can be used in a range of different forms. From gratitude to manifestation. In fact I tend to use a mixture of both as I’ve found them equally effective.
Taking an evening ‘off-line’
This is probably something I do most evenings. Come 9pm I switch my phone to ‘do not disturb’ place it on the other side of the room and try to resist picking it up till the next morning. I pick up my phone an abnormally large amount during the day, so I find this a crucial part in my evening routine. This also helps me ‘fully switch-off’ before I go to bed.

lovely blog post! I really like journaling as a form of self care, as it allows me to have a creative outlet at the same time xx
