So 2019 is drawing to an end and I cannot help but look back on a year that has seen various changes, including those personal style related. In all honesty at the start of the year I was still trying to ‘find my feet’ when it came to my own personal style. Alongside this, I was finally starting the process of going back blonde – a hair colour which has always felt ‘more me’. So until that process was ‘complete’, I was only starting to ‘rediscover’ my style and look mid 2019.
Whenever a major appearance change occurs (i.e. my hair) Pinterest is my first call for finding inspiration. On reflection I have learnt that a simple outfit is not something to shy away from. With the pressures of social media you cannot help but feel like you constantly need to ‘keep up’ with OTT outfits. But in reality sometimes all I want to wear is a jumper and mom jeans. I have definitely come to terms with this more on my IG account. Where posting five outfits a week can appear pressurising, when in fact if I keep my outfits as a true reflection of what I would actually wear. Including repeat wearing a couple of items. Then the pressure to post is lifted and becomes more enjoyable.
From adapting this new outlook, I can happily say that I have seen a real increase in growth over these past 6 months. *Including hitting a long-term milestone of mine.* But most importantly have fallen back in love with content creation again. Nevertheless, 2020 is going to be year where I continue my love for content creation!
